Wor-Wic Community College is accepting applications for a part‑time public safety officer to patrol the college campus by vehicle and on foot, and complete security checks on all campus buildings.

ResponsibilitiesPatrol campus by vehicle and on foot, and complete security checks on all campus buildings.
ScheduleVariable schedule (approximately 25 hours per week) including afternoon/evening and intermittent weekend hours.
Requirements- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Five years experience in law enforcement or security.
- Pre‑employment drug test and satisfactory results.
- Pre‑employment medical examination demonstrating required health and physical strength to respond to emergency situations.
- Clear record on criminal and child protective services background checks.
- Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
Must pass and become certified in defensive weapons tactics, handcuffs, capsicum spray and baton usage during the introductory period through Wor‑Wic offered training; complete training and steps required to obtain and/or maintain a security guard card; and obtain and maintain AED/CPR and first aid certifications.
Essential EmployeeMay be required to report during non‑scheduled days, evenings, weekends and/or holidays to assist with snow removal and other work situations.

Salary/Compensation$22.92 - $28.10 per hour based on qualifications and experience.
