Unarmed Security Guard

Position requires a Maryland Security Guard card.

Monday – Friday, 12:00 pm – 8:30 pm. Overtime and weekend shifts required based on business needs.

Security Supervisor / Safety & Security Manager / Shipyard Superintendent

This is a full‑time, benefits‑eligible position.

• Manage the security and safety of the shipyard premises.
• Monitor the front gate and access points around the shipyard.

• Patrol buildings, grounds, and perimeters of the shipyard via golf cart or on foot.
• Investigate suspicious activities and disturbances.
• Immediately report security breaches to designated law‑enforcement agents.
• Prevent illegal or inappropriate actions by maintaining a high‑visibility presence.
• Inform personnel and visitors of security procedures.

• Competitive Pay – $18.00 per hour with an additional $2.00 shift differential for evening and night shifts.

• All types of physical movement are required to successfully perform the essential functions.
• Ability to use upper and lower extremities.
• Ability to work outside in heat, inclement weather, and cold.
• Ability to crawl, kneel, crouch, climb, bend around and under equipment, on ladders up to 24 ft. at heights up to 70 ft., stairs, scaffolds, through small accesses, enter inside of tanks, and confined, through hatches, and manholes throughout much of the work shift.
• Occasionally lift/move up to 75 pounds.
• Able to work over bodies of water.

Must have a Maryland Security Guard card.

Normal level of visual acuity needed. Must be able to understand and follow directions. Normal hearing level needed. Hand‑eye coordination required.

Weather, fumes, moving mechanical parts, equipment, and vibration.

$18.00 + $2.00 evening shift per hour.
