The Public Safety Security Officer is responsible for carrying out the core value of safety at Tidal Health by maintaining a safe, secure condition in and around the hospital buildings and grounds. This position is also responsible for the protection of patients, employees, visitors, and their property.
Public Safety Security OfficerPosition Requirements
- Completion of the Public Safety Security Officer training program is due within three (3) months from the date of hire or transfer.
High School Graduate or G.E.D.
Experience- One-year prior experience in a law enforcement, fire or security-related job preferred.
- Must be able to successfully undergo a comprehensive background and character investigation.
- Valid driver’s license and verification of insurability under Tidal Health's automobile insurance plan.
- May be assigned to a permanent day, evening, or night shift.
- Usually scheduled off every third weekend.
- May be requested to work overtime on occasion.
