As a Maintenance Technician I, you’ll work alongside a skilled and diverse team to keep our plant running safely and efficiently by supporting machinery performance and maintenance reliability. This role offers hands‑on, on‑the‑job training where you’ll build real‑world industrial maintenance experience while earning additional certifications and expanding your technical skill set.

This position has a target wage of $23.00 - $26.00 per hour, based on shift, experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance). Overtime may be available.

• Must be able to demonstrate/achieve and maintain Maintenance Tech I proficiency within 10 months of hire.
• Assist with maintaining equipment, troubleshooting issues, and performing routine inspections.
• Perform basic troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• May assist in managing the machines’ performance by doing equipment set up and production changeovers.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns in a timely manner. Maintain work records and prepare clear and concise oral and written reports.
• Understand and follow all safety standards and quality protocols to ensure production exceeds the standards.
• Collaborate well with production associates to solve problems with reliability and urgency.
• Recognize and report unusual, inefficient, or dangerous mechanical and electrical situations.
• Utilize appropriate safety precautions, methods, and apparatus to minimize and withstand exposure to chemicals, dust, and mechanical and electrical hazards. Learn and observe all safety precautions as required by Perdue.
• Work all required work schedules. Day travel to nearby locations is sometimes required.

• High School Diploma or equivalent and equivalent experience.
• 0 - 3 Years experience in Industrial maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on Mechanical and Electrical Equipment, and/or Equivalent Military Experience.
• Beginner proficiency in Hydraulics, Mechanics, Electrical, Welding and Rigging.
• Commitment to Continuous Learning to achieve increasing levels of expertise.
• Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing.

• 2-year Technical Degree in Engineering or Industrial Maintenance.

• Sitting, standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, reaching overhead and/or at shoulder level, lifting (50 lbs.) and/or repetitive tasks throughout the day.
• Position requires occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
