Job SummaryShore Legal Access seeks a personable, proactive, and compassionate Case Manager to join the team. The full‑time role serves as a central point of contact for clients seeking life and estate planning services, helping connect individuals with essential documents such as wills, powers of attorney, and advance medical directives. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of case‑management experience and a passion for working with older adults.
Responsibilities- Conduct client intake interviews and screenings, both in person and by phone, for life and estate planning legal services.
- Respond promptly to client inquiries via phone and online channels.
- Coordinate monthly life and estate planning clinics, building client schedules, supporting clinic days in Wicomico, Worcester, and Somerset Counties, and ensuring smooth clinic operations.
- Schedule and facilitate document signing appointments for wills, powers of attorney, and advance directives.
- Provide case management, connecting clients with additional resources and offering trauma‑informed support for clients experiencing crisis.
- Maintain accurate client information and case status in SLA’s case‑management database, ensuring thorough documentation, tracking, and reporting.
- Collaborate with key partners to expand SLA’s reach, participate in community outreach events, and represent SLA at professional networks to cultivate new partnerships.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and experience working with older adults.
- Undergraduate or associate degree in humanities, social science, social work, or related field, OR minimum of 2 years of full‑time experience at a nonprofit or related agency.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and case‑management or database systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage ongoing documentation for a volume of clients.
- Fluency in Spanish and/or Haitian Creole preferred.
- Cultural competency and experience working with diverse communities, including LEP populations.
- Experience with trauma‑informed services is helpful.
- Demonstrated commitment to social justice work.
Based in Salisbury, the position offers a salary range of 50,000– 57,500, a flexible hybrid work environment, and a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, employer‑covered health, dental, and vision insurance, short‑ and long‑term disability coverage, and retirement savings with an employer match.
