Contract Unit:
This position is part of the non-supervisory support services bargaining unit.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in education
• Three years minimum experience working with the public including community service agencies and related service providers
• Experience working with elementary and/or middle school children and their families
• Ability and experience collecting and analyzing data to prepare in-depth analyses of findings and generate reports
• Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to work well in group problem-solving situations
• Experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Word Tables, and Excel charts and spreadsheets
• Excellent human relations, oral, and written communication skills
• Leadership skills and personal qualifications necessary to work successfully with students, teachers, administrators, parents, and the community

• Work with a diverse population of families, community partners and WCPS staff
• Assist in planning and coordinating community outreach programs to increase parent, family and community engagement in the school
• Assist in the resolution of non-academic problems which interfere with students receiving the maximum benefit from the school’s educational programs
• Coordinate outreach services and plan, carry out, and assist with home visits to increase parent, family and community engagement
• Prepare data reports as needed
• Assist school personnel with the coordination, supervision, and monitoring of student, parent and community related activities/events
• Maintain confidentiality regarding students and families
• Other related duties as assigned
