Contract Unit:
This position is part of the non-supervisory support services bargaining unit.

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in education
- Three years minimum experience working with the public including community service agencies and related service providers
- Experience working with elementary and/or middle school children and their families
- Ability and experience collecting and analyzing data to prepare in-depth analyses of findings and generate reports
- Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to work well in group problem-solving situations
- Experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Word Tables, and Excel charts and spreadsheets
- Excellent human relations, oral, and written communication skills
- Leadership skills and personal qualifications necessary to work successfully with students, teachers, administrators, parents, and the community
- Work with a diverse population of families, community partners and WCPS staff
- Assist in planning and coordinating community outreach programs to increase parent, family and community engagement in the school
- Assist in the resolution of non-academic problems which interfere with students receiving the maximum benefit from the school’s educational programs
- Coordinate outreach services and plan, carry out, and assist with home visits to increase parent, family and community engagement
- Prepare data reports as needed
- Assist school personnel with the coordination, supervision, and monitoring of student, parent and community related activities/events
- Maintain confidentiality regarding students and families
- Other related duties as assigned
