Commensurate with certification and experience based on the Unit I Wicomico County Salary Schedule. Includes benefits package .
Hours
Full time 10-month position (190 contract days).
Contract Unit:
This position is part of the Unit I (Certificated) bargaining unit.

Qualifications
- Current LMSW, LCSW, or LCSW-C license required. (Verification of license is required to be submitted with application)
- Thorough knowledge of the principles and methods of social work.
- Ability to interact effectively with students, parents, staff, and community agencies.
- Ability to serve as network facilitator linking families and community resources.
- Demonstrated skill in human relations and conflict resolution.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing using the English language when deemed necessary.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a program for all assigned students that will facilitate academic growth and social/emotional adjustments.
- Conduct clinical interviews, including clinical assessment, case conceptualization, and treatment plan formulation for students with a broad spectrum of psychological needs.
- Provide clinical and administrative case management, including direct contact with students and other providers.
- Plan and implement goals and objectives from the social/emotional curriculum selected and endorsed through the IEP process.
- Work cooperatively with other staff in the implementation of student IEPs.
- Organize and implement small group or individual counseling sessions with identified students.
- Provide de-escalation and crisis intervention strategies with students as needed.
- Communicate with administrators, teachers, counselors, school psychologists, and others as needed on effectiveness of the IEP along with academic achievement.
- Other related duties as assigned.
