VEX and First Robotics Coach

Salary - Commensurate with experience, no benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• Experience in robotics, engineering, or a related STEM field.
• Knowledge of VEX Robotics components, programming languages, and competition rules.
• Knowledge of First Robotics components, programming languages, and competition rules.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students.
• Previous experience in coaching or mentoring students, particularly in a robotics or STEM environment, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive VEX Robotics program.
• Plan and organize practice sessions, workshops, and team meetings.
• Manage the budget for the robotics program, including the procurement of materials and equipment.
• Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and stored.
• Develop funding through grant and fund‑raising efforts.
• Prepare students for participation in VEX Robotics competitions.
• Organize and oversee team participation in local, regional, and national competitions.
• Coordinate travel arrangements and ensure students meet all competition requirements.
• Promote the VEX Robotics program within the school and the broader community.
• Ensure compliance with all school policies and regulations.
