Software Engineer ; Potential Telework

We are seeking an experienced Software Developer who will provide full-stack Java software development in support of the Data Transformation Solutions (DTS) TTO. The candidate will be responsible for developing the middle tier to backend data storage, along with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) development support. The candidate will contribute to innovative projects, working with cutting‑edge technologies to deliver robust and scalable solutions.

The candidate will play a crucial part in designing, developing, and deploying applications that meet our clients’ evolving needs.

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
• Debug existing software and correct defects
• Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards
• Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features
• Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments
• Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories
• Write or review software and system documentation
• Serve as team lead at the appropriate level for the software development process being used on a particular project
• Design or implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queries
• Develop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards
• Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components
• Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, consulting with users or system engineers; analyze system flow, data usage and work processes; and investigate problem areas
• Modify existing software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, or improve performance
• Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design

• U.S. citizenship required with appropriate security clearance (e.g., Active TS/SCI with agency appropriate polygraph)
• Telework possible up to 1 day per week as tasking permits
• Position requires PRIVAC; candidate must have a current (within 7 years) poly and/or possess the minimum level of PRIVAC required for this role (NSYS)

• Seven years experience as a Software Engineer on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline (or four years of additional SWE experience on similar projects may substitute for the degree)

• Java and Java Script

• Experience utilizing corporate authentication services in a secure full‑stack solution
• Experience delivering full‑stack solutions with large data sets
• Experience developing in a micro‑services framework
• Familiarity with design and implementation of local caching services

• Pay range: $52.46 - $107.37 per hour
• Eligible for $5,000 annual bonus
