Job Description
Software Engineer at Praxis Engineering will be tasked with creating innovative mission solutions in the cybersecurity domain. The role involves research, analysis, reverse engineering, and development of high‑quality operational software to meet the nation's most complex Computer Network Operations challenges.
Responsibilities- Research, analyze, and reverse engineer objective software/hardware.
- Design, author, enhance, verify, and release high‑quality operational software that satisfies mission and foundational requirements.
- Comply with the organization’s documented test and release process.
- Examine and document ARM architecture and communicate system behavior to stakeholders.
- Implement development using CI/CD methodology with Git Lab for build/merges.
- Analyze operational and foundational platform integration requirements to derive capability functional and quality requirements.
- Conduct low‑level debugging of software and system defects.
- Design and implement software solutions for resource‑restricted environments, typically in Objective‑C or C++.
- Write or review software and system documentation.
- Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components.
- Communicate clearly in team environments with engineers, stakeholders, and customers.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Four (4) years of additional software engineering experience on projects with similar software processes may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
- Fourteen (14) years of experience as a Software Engineer in programs and projects of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Key skills in C++, Objective‑C, ARM assembly (thumb, 32, 64), Python, reverse engineering using IDA Pro, Ghidra, etc.
- Familiarity with Wi‑Fi standards and protocols is a plus.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required.
- 15+ years of related experience.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Salary range: $207,386 – $280,582 (actual compensation based on experience, location, and contractual requirements).
