Sr Capabilities Development Engineer - Clearance Required

This role is part of Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems, Cyber & Intelligence. The position is a Senior Capabilities Development Engineer requiring clearance. The engineer will support a high‑priority malware analysis modernization program, develop new capabilities for the virtual malware containment enclave, and modernize malware enrichment services.

TKO provides systems engineering, software development, data science and cloud development services to the Cyber Infrastructure Solutions customer, enabling data transformation, malware analysis and cyber threat intelligence capabilities. The contract has several locations in Maryland and a small contingent in Texas.

• Support a high‑priority and highly visible malware analysis modernization program.
• Work with a team of dynamic and innovative engineers to develop new capabilities supporting the virtual malware containment enclave.
• Support the modernization of malware enrichment services.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline plus twenty (20) years’ experience as a software engineering professional in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Or four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

• Experience with system design and developing large‑scale, high‑performance applications.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes.
• Experience with message broker software such as Rabbit

• Ability to mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews.
• Ability to develop high‑quality, efficient, and testable code.
• Ability to debug complex, system‑wide issues.
• Experience with Java application development (no front‑end necessary) and REST.
• Ability to multitask and pivot to different tasks quickly.
• Experience with Atlassian tools and Git.
• Experience with Intelli

Clearance Level: TS/SCI with Polygraph (SP).

The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $150,800–$265,880. For other states, the salary range will be determined by work location.

Onsite full‑time at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules, including a 9x80 schedule with every other Friday off.
