Role Summary

Leidos is seeking a driven and experienced Senior Software Engineer to support a high‑stakes, mission‑critical program. • Design, develop, and enhance secure software applications and systems.
• Integrate new software into evolving operational environments.
• Analyze user needs to craft efficient and scalable solutions.
• Debug and optimize existing software for performance and reliability.
• Implement complex algorithms that meet rigorous technical standards.
• Create and maintain system documentation and technical reports.
• Collaborate in Agile Scrum teams to deliver rapid, high‑quality releases.

• 14+ years of software engineering experience on comparable programs.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
• Experience with common software development tools such as Git, Kira, Confluence, and other Atlassian products.
• Experience with the Linux command line.
• Recent experience with Java or a similar programming language.
• Basic understanding of container technologies such as Docker.
• Basic understanding of web development and APIs.
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem‑solve.
• Ability to learn new software and technologies related to back‑end or front‑end development.

• Experience with Spring Boot.
• Experience with JavaScript and ReactJS.
• Experience with Apache Kafka.
• Experience with Apache NiFi.
• Understanding of Docker/Docker Compose.
• Experience with build tools such as Maven.
• Experience with SQL databases.
