Work
Modernizing a legacy operational system using a microservices‑based architecture and cutting‑edge technologies. The System Automation Software Engineer will be responsible for:
- Utilizing a test framework to execute manual and automated tests.
- Authoring tests using Cucumber and Playwright.
- Being knowledgeable in microservices design & architecture, CI/CD, test frameworks and automation, and Agile methodology.
- Executing load, performance, chaos, functional, and end‑to‑end testing.
- Delivering software in an Agile environment.
- Communicating and collaborating effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Our Program seeks innovative engineers to support a critical application centered in the Analytic mission and to modernize the legacy system using a microservices‑based architecture and cutting‑edge technologies.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline.
- An active Top Secret clearance with polygraph (CI poly within 7 years).
- Playwright, Cucumber, JMeter, Swagger (or similar API tool), Selenium tools:
Cypress, 508 testing tools (JAWS or NVDA) - S/W:
Java, Java script, Python, Ansible - Other:
Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, Gitlab, Jira
Clearance Level: TS/SCI w/Poly SP
Experience Level: Experienced Professional

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $150,800 – $265,880. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Represented full‑time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
