Production Operator

Michell Wool is an icon in Australia’s wool history. The current owners are the fifth generation of Michell’s to be adding value and creating demand for Australian wool. With processing plants in Adelaide and China, and representatives around the globe, Michell buys and exports 35% of the carding wools produced in Australia.

About the Opportunity

We are now looking for multiple Production Operators to join our team based in Salisbury South.

This role involves working on our wool production line, reporting to the shift leader, and ensuring the efficient processing and packing of wool.

More specifically, this role will involve:

• Working on a 12-hour rotating shift roster (44 hours day shift one week and 36 hours night shift the following week)
• Overtime is optional and available at times
• Packing wool and progressing to operating different machines with on-the-job training
• Following detailed processes and maintaining a strong attention to detail
• Standing for long periods and working on your feet
• Adhering to safety and quality standards
• Demonstrating a positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Developing skills and potentially advancing to supervisory/team leader roles

• Must have experience in Shift Work and the ability to work 12-hour shifts
• Hold a current Forklift Licence and have practical forklift operating experience
• Be physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
• Be reliable, punctual, and committed to workplace safety
• Demonstrate excellent attention to detail
• Possess strong communication and organisational skills
• Have basic administration and record-keeping abilities
• Hold unrestricted Australian work rights for ongoing employment
