Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager will oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and timely month-end close. This role requires hands‑on full‑cycle accounting experience, leadership capability, and a solid understanding of manufacturing accounting environments. The position includes limited travel (approximately 10–15%). This role will be based full‑time in our office in Salisbury, NC.

• Manage full-cycle accounting operations, including general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Lead and oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Supervise and develop the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, including cash application, collections, and vendor management
• Oversee accounting operations for multiple remote facilities, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and adherence to company policies
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls
• Analyze financial results and provide variance analysis and reporting to management
• Partner with operations and finance leadership to support manufacturing cost accounting and inventory-related activities
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Manage and mentor accounting staff, providing coaching, performance feedback, and professional development

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of 3 years of management or supervisory experience
• Minimum of 5 years general ledger experience
• Manufacturing industry accounting experience required
• Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounting processes
• Hands‑on experience managing AR/AP functions
• Proven experience leading month-end close processes, improving AR/AP functions, and driving change in a fast‑paced, growing environment
• Solid understanding of GAAP and internal controls
• Strong proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel

• Experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment, specifically Sage X3
• Cost accounting and inventory accounting experience
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
