Job Summary

The primary purpose of the Payroll Administrator is to administer and support the organization's payroll finance/GL functions across ADUSA and the Brands to ensure payroll general ledger entries and accounts, including reconciliations, are accurately reflected in the financial statements of the organization. Account reconciliations will follow the guidelines and include full research of all variances with appropriate actions to bring the account back into balance.

The role also involves reconciling weekly payroll files before posting to the general ledger and researching labor distribution as requested by the Brands.

Location and Hours

Hybrid schedule: 3 in-person days at one of our core locations (Salisbury, NC; Chicago, IL; Quincy, MA; Carlisle, PA; Scarborough, ME; Hyattsville, MD; or Mauldin, SC) and 2 remote days.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Reconcile and analyze assigned department general ledger accounts
  • Post all payroll entries to general ledger accounts
  • Respond to all inquiries from the business regarding payroll accounts and labor account postings
  • Research, resolve, and reconcile outstanding general ledger items and variances
  • Accurately record transactions to the general ledger for salaries and related items
  • Perform ad hoc domestic accounting reconciliations including payroll-related accrual and tax accounts
  • Perform root cause analysis to determine drivers for variances and elevate to Manager as appropriate
  • Respond and resolve all payroll-related associate inquiries that come through the Associate Service Center (supporting over 200,000 associates)
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Maintain confidentiality of all associate information
  • Work independently and resolve issues arising in account reconciliations
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Previous accounting experience in general ledger and account reconciliation processes
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to deadlines
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles
  • Experience with ECP systems preferred
Salary Range

ME/NC/PA/SC: $19.00 - $28.50 per hour
