Clark Wood is delighted to be working with a well‑established independent firm of accountants in Salisbury who are seeking an Accounts Senior to join their friendly and supportive team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounts professional who enjoys a varied, client‑facing role within a relaxed yet professional environment.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for preparing accounts for a diverse portfolio of clients—including limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders—while also supporting tax compliance and general advisory work. The firm is known for delivering a high‑quality, personal service and offers a genuinely supportive culture with a strong emphasis on work–life balance. While the role does not come with a defined progression path, it is ideal for someone seeking stability and a positive team environment where their experience will be valued.
Responsibilities- Preparation of year‑end accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
- Preparation of management accounts and VAT returns
- Supporting clients with day‑to‑day queries and providing accounting advice
- Assisting with personal and corporate tax compliance
- Reviewing work of junior staff where appropriate
- AAT qualified, ACA/ACCA part‑qualified or fully qualified, or qualified by experience
- Previous experience within an accountancy practice is essential
- Strong technical skills and excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicator with strong client relationship skills
- Salary up to £40,000 (depending on experience)
