This analyst drives the Assortment Optimization process for one of the major category groups across the ADUSA network, collaborating with internal partners and our local brands on macro and micro space analysis and optimization. The role works as part of a team of Assortment Analysts to drive the Assortment Optimization process for categories within their category group across local brands. This position supports the development of future macro and micro space tools used by all ADUSA brands to support more than 110,000 in-store planograms and Ecommerce facilities.

Our flexible/hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Core office locations include Salisbury, NC;
Quincy, MA;
Carlisle, PA;
Scarborough, ME;
Hyattsville, MD.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver assortment optimization for all category groups, providing detailed analysis and assortment recommendations to category teams across ADUSA through the Assortment Optimization Tool, aligned with the Cycle Assortment Review Calendar and data-driven insights based on category role and KPIs for each review.
  • Translate category strategy and insights into the assortment optimization process for each category review. Deliverables include customer decision trees, cannibalization groups, multiple scenario modeling, and store clustering.
  • Create assortment scenarios, including projected KPIs for off-cycle strategic requests from internal partners, working with the area manager to deliver insights and supporting data.
  • Deliver optimization of assortment for select category groups in wareroom and Ecommerce Fulfillment Centers using software that drives efficiency in Ecommerce order fulfillment.
  • Produce pre- and post-optimization reporting and analysis, including rest of market opportunity analysis, click-and-collect item rankings and post-reset waterfall reporting to measure efficacy of the reset activity.
  • Lead/participate in intake with Category to incorporate brand strategies into the assortment optimization process, documenting strategic inputs. As needed, independently lead and document meetings.
  • Collaborate with Category analysts to develop item and product group attributes; review their impact on customer decision trees, cannibalization, and item utility scores, and communicate implications to category teams. Partner with the manager for upload into the central repository to enable future efficiencies.
  • Embrace continuous improvement and collaboration to enhance processes while delivering equal or better results.
  • Model a delivery mindset related to targets, process, and development goals; take concrete steps to deliver on targets.
  • Additional job duties may be assigned as needed to meet business needs and support our values.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years in Retail, Business, or Technology-related roles; 1+ years related to advancing technology and business systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field and/or equivalent experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Office usage
  • Proven history of delivering impacts and results across a range of responsibilities
  • Demonstrated leadership behaviors to effectively lead self
  • Key skills: effective communicator, value-based decision making, customer focus
  • Knowledge of JDA/Blue Yonder space management and IRI/Circana preferred

ME/NC/PA/SC Salary Range: $63,440-$95,160

IL/MA/MD/NY Salary Range: $72,880 - $109,320
