Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $4,100 to $5,595 per month

Purpose: To plan, organize, and present instruction and instructional environments that support students in learning subject matter and skills that contribute to their education and social development.

• A. Major Function:
  Management of Instructional Time – Prepare materials, supplies, and equipment before each lesson; start class promptly; keep students on task; maintain high student time‑on‑task.
• B. Major Function:
  Management of Student Behavior – Enforce rules and procedures for routine administration, verbal participation, and classroom movement; monitor behavior during all activities; address inappropriate behavior promptly while preserving student dignity.
• C. Major Function:
  Instructional Presentation – Start each lesson with a review, state objectives, speak clearly, use understandable language, provide examples, assign tasks, manage pacing, facilitate transitions, ensure clarity of assignments, and summarize key points.
• D. Major Function:
  Instructional Monitoring of Student Performance – Set clear standards and deadlines; circulate during classwork to check performance; use oral, written, and other products for progress checks; ask questions one at a time.
• E. Major Function:
  Instructional Feedback – Offer timely feedback on in‑class and out‑of‑class work, confirm correct responses, and provide sustaining feedback after incorrect responses by probing, repeating questions, giving clues, or allotting additional time.
• F. Major Function:
  Facilitating Instruction – Design instructional plans aligned with school and system curricular goals; use diagnostic data to revise objectives; maintain accurate performance records; match objectives to learning strategies, assessment, and student needs; use available human and material resources.
• G. Major Function:
  Interaction Within the Education Environment – Treat all students fairly; interact effectively with students, colleagues, parents, and the community.
• H. Major Function:
  Performing Non‑Instructional Duties – Carry out assigned non‑instructional duties; follow laws, policies, rules, and regulations; follow a professional development plan and demonstrate growth.

• North Carolina ESLK‑12 licensure preferred.
• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
