Position: Faculty - Accounting (adjunct)

Rowan-Cabarrus Community College is seeking to expand its pool of adjunct faculty to teach Accounting courses for the Fall 2026 semester and beyond. This position is not remote and must be held on the NORTH CAMPUS in Salisbury, NC.

Required Education / Experience

Master’s degree in Accounting, or a master’s degree in any business-related discipline with 18 graduate hours in Accounting.
One or more years of teaching in higher education or two or more years of corporate training.

Preferred Education / Experience / Skills

Two years teaching in a Community College setting.
Experience using Canvas LMS.

Responsibilities

Prepare, manage, and deliver course content to achieve course objectives, accommodate diverse learning styles, and meet student learning outcomes.

Actively engage students and provide prompt feedback in an objective, respectful, and effective manner.

Communicate and follow course syllabus content in accordance with directions provided and administrative guidance.

Work collaboratively with the College’s support services to identify and address students’ academic support needs.

Utilize College technology for the delivery of instruction and completion of operational processes, including the learning management system, email and calendaring solution, document management system(s), student information system, and employee portals.

Meet deadlines, including maintaining and submitting accurate class records, employee records/requests, and other assigned tasks.

Ensure laboratories are appropriately stocked with required supplies and equipment is in safe operating order when applicable.

Facilitate a positive, student-centered, and professional environment among students, faculty, and staff.
