Minimum Qualifications- Master’s degree in business, education, or a related field with a focus on workforce development and / or adult education.
- At least eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience, including five years in senior management roles, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- As the third largest continuing education provider in the state, exceptional supervisory skills are necessary to lead a division comprising approximately 50 full‑time employees and over 100 part‑time temporary faculty members.
- Some expertise in working with grants and tuition waivers.
- Experience in public higher education, especially within a community college setting, is preferred.
- A background in North Carolina workforce development and continuing education is preferred including economic development and training.
- Familiarity with continuous process improvement approaches (Lean, PDCA , or similar)
- Ability to build consensus around process changes across departments with differing priorities.
Reporting directly to the College President, the Vice President of Corporate and Continuing Education serves as the senior leader responsible for the strategic planning, development, administration, and the College’s Corporate and Continuing Education programs and operations. Under the direction of the College President, the Vice President is responsible for advancing the College’s reputation as the preferred provider of workforce development solutions across the region.
This role leads efforts to strengthen employer/business partnerships, respond to workforce and industry needs, drive enrollment growth, and enhance program outcomes that support both individual learners and regional economic development.
