Reports to: Principal(s), ESL Lead Teacher, and/or Director of Federal Programs
Purpose :
To serve English Learners (ELs) as they acquire academic and social English language proficiency in grades K-12. To provide a safe learning environment that supports the English language development and academic success of English Learners.
Key
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
- Act as a liaison between students, school staff, and family.
- Administer state required assessments.
- Schedule and deliver instruction that is aligned to needs of the students based on the LIEP matrix.
- Maintain student data, records, and documentation for each student and update as needed.
- Design and deliver ESL instruction based on the WIDA Standards.
- Attend parent/teacher conferences of English Learners as needed.
- Collaborate with regular education teachers to share instructional strategies for English Learners.
- Design and deliver parent engagement activities at the school site(s).
- Design and deliver professional development at the school site(s) that supports English Learners.
- Maintain a high level of organizational skills.
- Attend ESL staff meetings.
- Participate in professional development opportunities.
- Perform other appropriate duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Term of Employment: 10 months employment

Salary: $41,000 to $55,950 Per Year
