JOB SUMMARY
Designs, develops, and maintains test procedures, tester hardware, and software for electronic circuit board production under limited supervision. Provides both technical and leadership support to manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient test processes, high product quality, and continuous improvement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESRecruitment & Retention
Recruit, interview, and support hiring of Process Technicians.
Communicate role requirements and candidate criteria to recruiting teams.
Coach team members through the interview and hiring process.
Monitor team member turnover, identify root causes, and implement improvement actions.
Employee & Team Development
Assess individual and team strengths and development needs on an ongoing basis.
Develop and validate training programs and curriculum.
Coach and mentor Process Technicians to deliver high-quality results and customer satisfaction.
Performance Management
Establish clear, measurable goals aligned with operational metrics and business objectives.
Review performance based on project timelines, training compliance, and operational effectiveness.
Gather feedback from leadership and peers to evaluate team performance.
Drive continuous improvement in key operational metrics and organizational goals.
Coordinate team activities and maintain focus during high‑pressure or critical situations.
Communication
Facilitate open communication and idea‑sharing within the team.
Clearly communicate information in both written and verbal formats.
Encourage team participation and input.
Adapt communication style to different team members and stakeholders.
Review circuit board designs to ensure compliance with testability requirements.
Support manufacturing through failure analysis, tester debugging, and reduction of downtime and intermittent failures.
Develop testing strategies and documentation from design phase through production.
Analyze test data and generate reports with recommendations for improvement.
Review test equipment designs, performance data, and RMA issues with customers.
Design and oversee fabrication of test equipment, fixtures, and control systems.
Direct engineering activities related to development, procurement, installation, and calibration of test equipment.
Define test conditions, sequences, and operational phases.
Oversee functional, operational, and performance testing activities.
Execute moderately complex engineering test assignments for standard and custom devices.
Interpret data and prepare technical reports for engineering and management.
Develop or utilize software and hardware tools for testing applications.
Maintain test methodologies in compliance with ISO, QS, and company standards.
Train production staff on new testing procedures and best practices.
Ensure compliance with safety, health, and company security policies.
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering required.
3–5 years of relevant experience in test engineering or manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of electronic test systems, diagnostics, and circuit board production.
Experience with test equipment design, calibration, and troubleshooting.
Ability to analyze test data and develop actionable improvements.
Experience mentoring or leading technical teams.
Ability to manage performance, drive engagement, and develop talent.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to present technical information clearly to cross‑functional teams and customers.
Proficiency in statistical analysis, probability, and engineering mathematics.
Ability to apply mathematical concepts to real‑world manufacturing challenges.
Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
Skilled in interpreting complex technical instructions and variables.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Frequent walking and handling of test equipment, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
Extensive use of computer monitors requiring strong close‑vision capability.
Work environment includes both office and manufacturing floor settings.
Noise levels range from low to moderate.
