JOB SUMMARY
The Industrial Engineer II is responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and managing integrated production and service delivery systems. This role ensures performance, reliability, maintainability, schedule adherence, and cost control within the production site. Focuses on driving profitability, efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement across products and services throughout their lifecycle.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESServe as a project team member implementing initiatives to eliminate waste using standard Industrial Engineering methodologies.
Includes activities such as capital equipment requests, capability studies, plant layouts, tool design, and standard work development.
Develop time standards for process steps to be maintained within the Product-Process-Time database (IEDB).
Collect, analyze, and report Industrial Engineering metrics for assigned customers or operational areas.
Coordinate facility layouts, line balancing, and site or production area moves as required.
Validate and maintain IEDB data accuracy and ensure compliance with standardized processes.
Monitor SAP and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) configurations to ensure alignment with company standards.
Support quoting activities by gathering and developing necessary process and cost data.
Coach, mentor, and train engineers within the Industrial Engineering team.
Support and maintain responsibilities associated with lower-level Industrial Engineering roles.
Drive standardization of processes across the site in alignment with global and regional strategies.
Support Lean initiatives by building strong process foundations and ensuring data integrity for continuous improvement efforts.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and security standards.
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field required.
3+ years of experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing, or related environment preferred.
Strong knowledge and application of Industrial Engineering tools, including:
Work measurement
Process mapping
Facility and workstation design
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Experience with Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD required.
Familiarity with ERP systems (such as SAP) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to implement continuous improvement initiatives and cost reduction programs.
Experience supporting Lean Manufacturing and waste reduction activities.
Understanding of organizational strategy and how site operations align with broader business goals.
Knowledge of facility capabilities and production systems.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to mentor, coach, and develop junior engineers.
Experience contributing to cross-functional teams and change management initiatives.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is performed in both office and manufacturing floor environments.
Requires regular movement between workstations and production areas.
Noise levels range from low to moderate depending on location.
