JOBSUMMARY
Develops and implements assembly and test manufacturing processes required to produce custom cold plates designed to cool advanced processors for next-generation data centers. Establishes and maintains process controls to meet quality standards in the most efficient and scalable manner for both new and existing operations. Monitors pilot and high-volume production, troubleshoots process issues, and supports the resolution of quality concerns. Serves as a technical expert across multiple projects, production jobs, and processes as required.
Directly supervises a team of 2 engineers and 4 technicians.
Lead the selection, qualification, and implementation of new equipment, including assembly, solder dispense and reflow systems, helium leak testing, pressure decay testing, liquid and air flow testing, and thermal testing, optimizing cost, efficiency, and quality.
Establish and maintain process controls and ensure appropriate documentation is in place.
Monitor production processes; troubleshoot process-related issues and assist in resolving quality concerns.
Develop detailed manufacturing processes for new product lines; document product development changes, evaluate product performance, and oversee tooling design.
Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to new systems, tooling, and automation.
Design and execute experiments to enhance processes, improve yields, increase utilization, and reduce cycle time through optimized setups.
Lead and implement process improvements, including major maintenance and automation modifications, ensuring proper documentation is maintained.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to process technicians and other engineers.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment while supporting all company safety programs and initiatives.
Supervise and support a team of 2 engineers and 4 technicians.
Support and reinforce all company safety and quality programs and initiatives.
Apply and promote Lean Manufacturing principles across operations.
JOB QUALIFICATIONSProficiency in personal computers and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), along with strong email communication skills.
5–7 years of experience developing solder assembly and reflow processes for high-reliability semiconductor or similar applications.
Ability to design or oversee fixture design for manufacturing processes.
Experience performing failure analysis, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
Minimum of 2 years of experience supervising engineers and/or technicians.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
