• oDesign of Experiments (Factorial DOE – full and fractional) and optimization
• oControl Plan
• oProject Planning, cross-function leader of teams involving internal and external stakeholders
• oCellular manufacturing flow, pull, line balancing, standard work and time standards
• oRoot Cause Analysis methods
• oWrite Justification (ROI) for capital projects
• oProduct/equipment Validation (i.e. IQOQPA, PPAP)
• oQuality Management Systems (QMS) / Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
• oDesign and plan production pilot runs
• oMolding (i.e. compression, transfer, injection)
• oExcellent computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Access and Visio

• oUnderstands bill of material (BOM) and shop routing

• oAble to read and understand Engineering drawings (including GD&T)
• oMechanical Measurement and Instrumentation skills
• oMeasurement System Analysis (MSA)
• oProcess Mapping methods (VSM, high/mid/low-level maps, swim-lane, SIPOC)
• oCapability Analysis (Cp/Cpk, DPMO, % Yield)

Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Manufacturing or Industrial Technology is preferred.

• Certification/Certificate in lean Manufacturing
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in Manufacturing Process Engineering
• 5+ years of new product development (NPD) in a team environment
• 5+ years applying SIX Sigma (DMAIC) tools
• 5+ years applying Lean Manufacturing principles in a manufacturing environment
• 4+ years managing/supervising direct reports
• Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) experience is strongly desired but not required
