Our client, is seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer specializing in AV Collaboration Technology to support their End User Services (EUS) Digital Media team. In this role, you will create clear, structured, and user-friendly documentation for Microsoft Teams Rooms and large-scale Audio/Video systems deployed across corporate campuses. You will partner closely with AV engineers and technical teams to translate complex technical processes into accessible end-user guides, SOPs, governance documentation, and knowledge base articles.
This hybrid role is ideal for a technical writer who enjoys working in enterprise IT environments and can bring both structure and a creative touch to documentation.
This is a W2 Contract opportunity (open to extension/conversion).
Hybrid Schedule – Onsite Monday through Wednesday in Salisbury, NC;
Remote Thursday and Friday.
contract: 6-months with possibility of extension or conversion
Key Responsibilities- Create and maintain end-user documentation for Microsoft Teams Rooms and enterprise Audio/Video systems.
- Collaborate with the Digital Media Manager and AV engineers to translate technical specifications into clear procedures and user-friendly guides.
- Develop user manuals, SOPs, governance policies, and technical design documentation.
- Transfer complex technical documentation into structured processes for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Develop governance frameworks for next-generation Microsoft Teams Room technology.
- Review, improve, and rewrite existing Service Now knowledge base articles.
- Ensure documentation aligns with departmental standards and supports successful installation and integration of AV technologies.
- Bring creativity and visual clarity to documentation to improve usability and engagement.
- 3–5 years of experience in technical writing, ideally within IT, Audio/Video, or collaboration technology environments.
- Experience creating installation guides, procedural documentation, and technical standards documentation.
- Ability to simplify complex technical information for business users with non-technical backgrounds.
- Experience translating engineering concepts into clear, concise, and accessible documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams Rooms and enterprise Audio/Video systems.
- Experience creating and updating SharePoint sites.
- 3+ years of experience developing Service Now knowledge base articles.
- Experience working directly with engineers and cross-functional IT teams.
- Self-starter who can work independently while collaborating with technical stakeholders.
