Technology Support Technician

Position: TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT TECHNICIAN I
Reports to:

Executive Director of Technology

Purpose:

This position will work in conjunction with the Rowan Salisbury School System's technology department.

Qualifications:

* Graduate from a two--year college or technical school with coursework in electronics and Computers and (1--3 years) experience; or high school diploma or equivalency and an equivalent combination of training and experience

* The following certifications are desired but not mandatory: A+, Net+, Security+, ACMT; iOS Certified, CCNA, MCSE

* Applicants will be asked to complete a skills test as part of the interview process. The skills test is used to assess each applicant's proficiency with Hardware / Software.

* Mac OS--iOS Devices - Windows OS

* MS Office

* Software Applications

* LAN/WAN

* Imaging Solutions (Mac and PC)

* Network Printers

* Wireless AP's

* Scripting

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Configures, repairs, maintains and upgrades technology--related equipment, including but not limited to Apple IOS and OSX devices, Windows, imaging and mobile device management software.

* Communicates with employees and management in a timely and professional manner.

* Provides support to users by phone and email using remote support tools.

* Excellent problem solving, multi--tasking, troubleshooting skills and attention to details are required to work within the department and school environment.

* Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and manuals.

* Uses a web--based work--order tracking system for routine repair and maintenance of equipment.

* Assists in researching new technology and provide input on new standards.

* Attends classes and seminars to enhance knowledge of equipment and operating systems.

Term of Employment: 12 months in accordance with the Rowan--Salisbury School Board calendar
