Primary Purpose
The Cloud Engineer III designs and implements cloud services and guardrails, automates routine operations, and improves reliability and developer experience.
Our flexible/hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations are Salisbury, NC & Quincy, MA.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
Duties & Responsibilities
* Design reusable cloud modules and reference patterns.
* Implement policy enforcement and configuration baselines.
* Enhance observability and SLO/SLA reporting.
* Execute upgrades, patching, and change windows safely.
* Troubleshoot incidents and drive corrective actions.
* Document standards, golden paths, and runbooks.
* Collaborate with platform, security, and product teams.
* May be called upon to support critical escalations and must be available during urgent IT incidents as needed.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of work experience.
* 5+ years in cloud engineering or platform operations.
* 5+ years Production experience in Cloud technologies - Azure IaaS, PaaS, networking, Azure functions, Azure automation and runbooks, workbooks, Insights, Security center, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics.
* Hands on experience with IaC tools like ADO, ARM, terraform, ansible, Power Shell, python, azcli, github
* Hands on with automation, IAM, networking, and core cloud services.
* Familiarity with containers/serverless and CI/CD.
* Strong problem solving and communication.
* At least 4 years of hands-on operational experience supporting the following or related experience:
