Sap Finance Control Consultant

Salisbury, NC (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote)

I'm currently partnering with a global enterprise seeking an experienced SAP S/4

HANA FICO Lead Consultant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong SAP Finance background who enjoys leading functional initiatives, partnering with the business, and driving continuous improvement in an SAP S/4

HANA environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the SAP S/4
  
  HANA Finance (FICO) workstream and serve as the functional lead.
• Configure and support SAP S/4
  
  HANA Finance, including:
• Accounts Payable (AP)
• Accounts Receivable (AR)
• General Ledger (GL)
• Asset Accounting (AA/FA)
• Management Accounting (CO)
• Project Systems (PS)
• Gather business requirements and translate them into functional solutions.
• Create functional design documents and perform SAP configuration.
• Support system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and production deployments.
• Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement permanent solutions.
• Validate transports and production changes following system maintenance.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, offshore teams, and cross-functional SAP teams.
• Drive continuous process improvements and support global template governance.
• Track service delivery metrics and report on operational performance.

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience with SAP S/4
  
  HANA Finance (FICO).
• Hands-on functional configuration experience within SAP S/4
  
  HANA.
• Experience across AP, AR, GL, Asset Accounting, Management Accounting (CO), and Project Systems.
• Strong understanding of SAP integrations with other functional modules.
• Experience supporting SAP production environments and resolving complex issues.
• Experience leading SIT, UAT, and production deployments.
• Ability to work closely with both business and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in Microsoft Azure environments.
• Knowledge of SAP RISE.
• Experience integrating SAP with banking platforms for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Previous experience supporting global SAP templates.
