Position: Sr. Site Materials Manager (Prince George, VA)

Position Overview

This role supports a new factory startup for large form‑factor equipment at Jabil’s Prince George, VA facility. The candidate will be responsible for building operations, manufacturing staff, fitting out the building, and creating process flow/work instructions from the ground up, with skills in panel and point‑to‑point wire assembly, Medium Voltage, Low Voltage, and High‑Power Electronic assemblies.

Job Summary

Drives materials team to achieve continuous improvement in key materials metrics, providing exceptional support to customers, team members, and shareholders.

Responsibilities
  • Champion execution and deployment of Jabil’s standard planning and inventory strategies and systems with the customer, implementing customized solutions where necessary.
  • Drive a systematic process to receive, evaluate and fulfill customer demand across the business unit.
  • Ensure an achievable Master Schedule supports customer requirements and Jabil revenue projections, considering materials availability, equipment capability/capacity and staffing.
  • Align Master Production Schedule with customer contracts and liability agreements to maintain conformance to Jabil’s “Rules of the Road.”
  • Develop and supervise solid product launch plans for new business, and transition plans for products being transferred between Jabil manufacturing sites.
  • Evaluate the need for buffer inventory during the transfer process.
  • Ensure continuity of product supply to the Jabil manufacturing site(s) and finished goods to the customer throughout the transfer timeframe.
  • Oversee disposition and transfer of residual inventory to the appropriate receiving Jabil factory.
  • Generate and analyze inventory reports for internal business unit and/or customer use.
  • Assist the Business Unit Management team in evaluating and recovering the cost of excess/obsolescent inventory.
  • Recommend process and supply chain initiatives to lower inventory costs, including hubbing, JIT, optimum lot sizes, alternate transportation methodologies, etc.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge: Global and regional logistics operations, industry, and international direct/indirect taxes and customs regimes.
  • Strong proficiency in determining logistics requirements and implementing strategies to achieve targets.
  • Strong financial and analytical ability; proficiency in managing business analytics to optimize company footprint.
  • Proven track record of successful change management, continuous productivity and cost‑reduction programs.
  • Strong and convincing communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and e‑mail.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, materials logistics management, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Three years related experience in an EMS or similar environment.
  • Solid understanding of electronics manufacturing and materials management, with negotiation, cost‑reduction, and materials‑planning experience.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Materials Logistics Management, or related discipline.
  • Equivalent proven track record in an EMS or similar environment.
  • Three years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Benefits & Pay

Pay range: $115,500 - $207,900.

Short‑term incentive based on performance is available.
