will you make an impact?

The Senior Inventory Control Manager will lead the inventory control strategy and operational readiness for new manufacturing sites across the US Growth organization. This role is responsible for designing and implementing inventory control processes, warehouse operations, systems, and governance that enable successful production launches.

Working cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Planning, Procurement, IT, and Quality, this leader will establish scalable standards and ensure every new site is operationally ready from Day 1.

Expect approximately 75% travel supporting new site readiness.

What will you do?
  • Lead inventory control readiness activities for new site launches, expansions, and customer transfers.
  • Develop the end-to-end inventory control strategy, standards, and governance for new manufacturing operations.
  • Design warehouse and material flow processes, including receiving, storage, supermarkets, line-side replenishment, shipping, and inventory transactions.
  • Define inventory control resource requirements, organizational structure, and staffing plans for each new site.
  • Partner with IT to ensure ERP, warehouse management systems, RF devices, barcode labeling, and inventory transactions are fully implemented and validated before production start-up.
  • Establish cycle count strategies, inventory accuracy processes, physical inventory plans, and material traceability standards.
  • Coordinate inventory readiness activities with Planning, Procurement, Logistics, Manufacturing Engineering, Finance, and Operations teams.
  • Lead site readiness assessments and identify operational risks before production launch.
  • Develop standard work, procedures, KPIs, training programs, and governance routines for inventory control teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory accuracy, warehouse productivity, material flow, and operational efficiency.
  • Support customer audits and operational readiness reviews during new product introductions (NPI) and site transitions.
  • Provide executive updates on inventory readiness, launch status, key risks, mitigation plans, and implementation milestones.
How will you get here?

Education

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.

Master's degree preferred.

Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in Inventory Control, Warehouse Operations, or Supply Chain within a complex manufacturing environment.
  • 5+ years leading inventory control organizations and cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting greenfield manufacturing sites, new product introductions (NPI), factory launches, or major operational transfers.
  • Strong expertise in warehouse operations, inventory control, material flow, and manufacturing logistics.
  • Experience implementing ERP systems (SAP preferred), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), barcode/RF technologies, and inventory transaction processes.
  • Proven ability to develop operational standards, governance models, and scalable inventory control processes.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing readiness, production launches, and operational ramp-up.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Operations, Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing Engineering, IT, and Finance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
