Title:
Process Safety Manager/Environmental Health & Safety Manager - Speciality Chemical Manufacturing
Location:
Salisbury, North Carolina (Relocation offered)
Package: Up to $165,000 base salary (ability to exceed depending on experience), 10% bonus and additional benefits.
OverviewIrving Knight are partnered with a $2BN international speciality chemical manufacturing organisation based in North Carolina. The role will lead the safety culture improvement and to the implementation of the company’s process safety, operational safety and environmental management strategy in the America region.
Responsibilities- Facilitate the development and transparency of company-wide EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) performance metrics.
- To assess facility hazards across process, occupational, and environmental risks while driving the implementation of control measures.
- To provide training and support to key site staff to ensure that they can undertake their operational / Process Safety and environmental management tasks fully.
- Monitor and interpret evolving safety and environmental legislation to ensure company standards and operational practices remain fully compliant.
- Experience
:
Extensive experience in process safety within chemical sites dealing with operations involving critical hazards. - Education
:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related engineering degrees. - Experience
:
Minimum 2 years management experience leading a team. - Experience
: EHS or PSM related duties within chemical manufacturing sites.
