Responsibilities:

  • Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hard hat, steel-toe boots, and any additional equipment required by the process.
  • Safely operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) to move materials within the warehouse and load/unload trucks.
  • Follow all safety procedures, actively participate in safety discussions, and attend required training sessions.
  • Perform stock picking in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Transfer Order requirements.
  • Coordinate with the Traffic Management Office and Inventory Analyst to resolve stock discrepancies and material issues.
  • Execute 5S practices to maintain an organized and efficient warehouse environment.
  • Identify and comply with storage, packaging, and shipping requirements, including those for temperature-sensitive materials.
  • Handle materials safely, including lifting up to 50 lbs. and using assist equipment (e.g., pail assist devices) for heavier loads.
  • Inventory Control & Documentation
  • Perform material transactions using warehouse management systems (WMS), SAP, or manual documentation as required.
  • Verify material identity, quantities, and labeling to ensure accuracy and traceability.
  • Conduct cycle counts, inventory checks, and material reconciliations as assigned.
  • Apply, verify, and maintain proper labeling, including hazardous material and lot control labels.
  • Safety, Health & Environmental Compliance
  • Follow all Henkel safety policies, plant rules, and applicable OSHA and DOT requirements.
  • Safely handle raw materials, chemicals, drums, totes, and packaged goods in accordance with Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
  • Properly wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel-toed shoes, gloves, eye protection, and respirators when applicable.
  • Performs job duties in accordance with GMP standards, safety policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Immediately report unsafe conditions, spills, near misses, or incidents to supervision.
  • Quality & Housekeeping
  • Support product quality by preventing material damage, contamination, or misidentification.
  • Maintain clean, orderly, and compliant warehouse and material staging areas in accordance with housekeeping and 5S standards.
  • Assist with spill response and cleanup in accordance with site procedures, when trained and authorized.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 5 years of warehouse or logistics experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Preferred skills:
  • 49 CFR certification (Hazardous Materials – Highway)
  • IATA certification (Hazardous Materials – Air transport)
  • IMDG certification (Hazardous Materials – Ocean transport)
  • Forklift certification (or ability to obtain) for sit-down, stand-up, and turret trucks
