Production Supervisor

We at Leggett & Platt Flooring Products are searching for a Production Supervisor to support the production operations at our Salisbury, NC branch.

• Monitor processes to verify conformance to specifications and direct adjustments needed to avoid or correct issues.
• Obtain product samples and perform quality testing.
• Visually inspect product for defects.
• Adjust product formula to maintain product quality standards.
• Plan and schedule employees for required tasks.
• Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
• Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of the department or work crew.
• Generate work orders as needed.
• Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems.
• Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
• Maintain time and production records.
• Ensure all employees are adequately trained to perform tasks.
• Plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems.

• 3–5 years industrial experience.
• 1–2 years supervisory experience.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer and writing skills.
