Sheet Metal Mechanic (Aircraft)
As a SHEET METAL MECHANIC (AIRCRAFT), WG-3806-10, you will inspect and troubleshoot aircraft structures such as fuselage, tail, wings, cowlings and stabilizers; repair cracks in aircraft skin; set up, operate and maintain power shears, metal brakes, rolls, dimpling machines, drills, saws, heat-treating furnaces, hardness testers, arc and oxyacetalene welders and other metal working equipment and tools of the trade; paint, strip or stencil aircraft and/or components;
assist in other functions within the Component Repair Shop; assist authorized firefighters in the performance of fire/crash/rescue duties; perform other duties as assigned.
