Registered Nurse ASC - PACU

PRN, as needed (PRE-OP/PACU)

Schedule flexibility and current PACU experience needed.

The Registered Nurse ASC is expected to work in a primary nursing area for the center. The RN is a team member in an ASC environment, cross‑training to other primary areas including assisting with turnover and all other aspects of day‑to‑day ASC operations. The RN is also responsible for coordinating the telephone pre‑admission assessment process for patients in the ASC environment.

• Education:
  
  2‑Year Associate Degree in Nursing (required); 4‑Year Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Experience:
  
  One year ASC, PACU, or operating room experience preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
  Current RN licensure in the applicable state (required); ACLS and PALS preferred.

  Skills:
  
  Thorough understanding of RN role, ability to carry out the functions as defined in the relevant state nurse practice act; ability to set priorities and organize workload of the unit; knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient age; ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to age‑specific needs; proficiency in telephone screening and interviewing skills.
