Job Overview

Medical Solutions is seeking a local contract RN (Telemetry) for a 13‑week contract in Salisbury, North Carolina. The position involves 36 hours of orientation followed by 12‑hour night shifts (36 hours per week). Remote/Local contract employment.

• Manage telemetry patient care for cardiac and stroke units.
• Provide IV start, monitor cardiac patients, manage cardiac drips (cardizem, dopamine, amiodarone, etc.).
• Handle pre‑ and post‑procedure cardiac patients, pacemaker implantation, implantable cardioverter‑defibrillator care, and cardiac catheterization.
• Conduct NIV support (non‑rebreather mask, high‑flow O₂, BiPAP) as clinically indicated.
• Document in EPIC (Dimensions), Pyxis, and SBAR systems.
• Participate in self‑scheduling, adhere to blackout dates, and comply with float requirement.
• Work per target ratios of 1:5‑6, handling up to 6 patients.
• Support admissions and discharges with team lead assist.

• Minimum 2 years RN experience in telemetry or equivalent high‑acuity unit.
• ACLS, BCLS, NIH certification required; first‑time travelers accepted.
• Experience with IV starts and telemetry, cardiac patient care, and cardiac drips.
• Solid knowledge of cardiac procedures and postoperative care.
• Strong clinical skills and adaptability to high patient volumes.
• Should have pass EKG testing prior to start.

• Duration: 13‑26 weeks (flexible). 48‑hour blocks with no overtime until billing completed.
• Shift: 12‑hour night shifts.
• Pay:

  Yes; every other weekend required (2 Mondays + 2 Fridays in 6‑week cycle).
