A leading Health & Safety Consultancy operating across the South Coast seeks an Assistant Health & Safety Advisor to join their team. The role supports the construction industry for regional contractors. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will play a key part in managing H&S across sites.
The role of Assistant Health & Safety AdvisorThis consultancy specialises in new build commercial projects, including education, healthcare, MOD & industrial new builds, refurbishments & extensions. It handles projects up to £50M across Hampshire, Dorset, Sussex, and Surrey for private and public framework clients.
Responsibilities- Ensure the implementation of legislation and best standard practice throughout businesses, by providing guidance and support on execution policies and procedures and ensuring they are met and maintained across sites.
- Regularly visit sites to carry out audits, offer training and support where required, and document findings via regular reports.
- Assist with projects and meetings from pre-construction stage through completion and handover.
- Relevant NEBOSH certification, preferably Chartered member of IOSH.
- Previous experience within the construction industry, either in H&S or site work.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety standards and legislation.
