Job Summary
The Quality Control Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, facilitating, and supervising the facility's quality programs and initiatives. The role develops a quality assurance program including all standards, procedures, methods, documents, etc. throughout the entire production process to ensure that customer quality requirements are met. It regularly inspects facility operations and products to ensure that quality procedures are followed and effective, and that the overall quality and appearance of product meet expectations.
The Coordinator facilitates the investigation of all quality issues and/or occurrences, identifies trends and causes, and ensures that corrective measures are implemented. The role includes managing quality staff, recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, and developing Quality Inspectors and other quality assurance personnel as necessary. It also coordinates inspections, tours, and visits by customers and third‑party personnel as required, maintains appropriate communication with management, customers, and third parties, and travels to customer, supplier, third‑party, and training locations as needed.
The Coordinator maintains quality logs, checklists, prints, PPAP, and other required documents, attends appropriate seminars, lectures, and classes, and completes further Quality Management training and certifications as required. The role prepares various reports and performs other duties as required.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive quality assurance program throughout the production process to meet customer requirements. Inspect facility operations and products to ensure compliance with quality procedures and to maintain product quality and appearance. Prepare reports and perform additional duties as necessary.
Minimum high school diploma or GED. Preferred 1‑2 years of management or quality assurance experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
