Laboratory Technologist; Part Time

At Techcyte, we are building SaaS solutions for microscopy testing using artificial intelligence (AI), including computer vision and deep machine learning. Lab Techs are a critical part of our day‑to‑day operation in our lab and assist engineering & product management with laboratory support to develop world‑class machine‑learning products for medical, environmental, and veterinary markets.

The laboratory is located in Salisbury, NC, and we are looking for a motivated, flexible individual to join our team. This part‑time position requires approximately 20-28 hours per week, with a preferred schedule of Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to at least 1:00 p.m.

• Receive samples from clients and perform data entry tasks
• Prepare biological samples onto microscope slides
• Digitize microscope slides with various whole slide scanners
• Configure scanners and software to perform optimally

• Strong attention to detail, especially with repetitive tasks
• Good organization and record‑keeping skills
• Must be able to commute to the office in Salisbury, NC
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Must be able to work collaboratively within a team and across disciplines
• Experience working in a lab required (e.g., safety, sample preparation, experience with light microscopes, etc.)
• College lab experience is acceptable
• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in biology, clinical laboratory science, or related majors required.

Salary: $15.00 - $21.00 per hour DOE
