As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and requests for assistance. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and support orderly operations with professionalism.

** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access control, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government corrections location.

+ Patrol assigned areas on foot and/or by vehicle, including buildings, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by site.

+ Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and direction from site leadership.

+ Conduct security-related screening and controlled entry functions, including verifying identification, monitoring visitor processing, and documenting prohibited items and/or contraband-related observations per policy.

+ Complete detailed reports and logs for patrols, incidents, inspections, and shift activities; communicate observations and status updates to site personnel and Allied Universal supervision.

* + Be at least 21 years of age.

+ An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
