As a Security Officer Armed Deterrence Patrol in Salisbury, NC
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government corrections location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations. You will support a controlled environment through clear communication, attentive observation, and exceptional customer service.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including perimeters, access points, grounds, and parking areas, while observing and reporting unusual conditions or activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and applicable procedures.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and maintain awareness of authorized movement throughout the assigned location.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports, activity logs, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel and emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
