This is a general labor position that starts at $14.50 hourly. The Traffic Controller works with construction teams to ensure automobiles and pedestrians do not interfere with or pose a danger to laborers and their projects.

The Traffic Controller must become certified in basic traffic safety techniques by attending a training class provided by the company. Their principal activities include performing traffic control and flagging duties at assigned job sites, setting up, maintaining, and removing temporary work zones, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.

• Setup, maintain, and remove temporary work zones including warning signs, traffic cones, and rumble strips according to ATSSA and DOT regulations
• Load and unload work zone equipment to and from the company vehicle at the job site
• Complete and submit all necessary paperwork in a timely manner before leaving the last job site
• Wear and maintain proper PPE in accordance with Wright specific policy
• Ensure that company vehicles are kept clean and orderly and inform management of any safety concerns or vehicle problems
• Review start time and address of job site or meeting location as established and sent by office scheduler via company app
• Read and understand Wright safety manual and employee handbook
• Report directly to a Field Supervisor
• Complete other job duties as assigned

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have a smartphone with internet access for timekeeping and communication to receive work schedule
• Be able to work in all weather conditions and tolerate varying climates of heat, cold, and rain
• Pass a drug screen prior to employment and maintain a drug‑free status
• Be able to stand throughout your entire shift; hand and arm movement is required
• The position does not allow for frequent breaks
• Be able to lift 50 pounds
• Be physically capable of performing all flagging duties
• Have reliable transportation to and from job sites. All employees are permitted to drive their own vehicles to the job site or assigned meeting location.
