We are looking for an experienced industrial maintenance mechanic who enjoys troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, welding, and working safely in a chemical manufacturing environment. Does that sound like you?
About the jobJoin our Maintenance team at our Salisbury, NC chemical manufacturing facility where you’ll help keep critical production equipment operating safely and reliably. This is a hands‑on day shift role offering a collaborative team environment, varied maintenance work, and opportunities to expand your technical skills across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and utility systems.
In your future role as a Mechanic- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment and plant utility systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and utility equipment, including boilers, deionized water systems, and air compressors.
- Complete welding and pipe fitting work, including TIG welding on stainless steel and Hastelloy materials.
- Utilize the site’s Preventive Maintenance Software (CMMS) to complete and document maintenance work orders.
- Follow all HSES requirements, permit‑to‑work procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) while promoting a strong safety culture.
- Work independently while supporting continuous improvement and plant reliability initiatives.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Hands‑on experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and utility systems.
- Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to manage work orders.
- Strong time management, organizational skills, and the ability to work safely with minimal supervision.
- TIG (GTAW) welding and industrial pipe fitting experience.
- Experience welding Hastelloy C‑276, 304 and 316 stainless steel.
- Experience maintaining boilers, compressed air systems, and deionized water systems.
- Experience operating welding and fabrication equipment such as Miller welding machines, plasma cutters, grinders, pipe threaders, drill presses, band saws, and machine tools.
This is a permanent position on a full‑time basis, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, and based in Salisbury, NC.
