Job Summary

PPM Pipe Welder – Salisbury, NC. MOR PPM Inc. is seeking qualified pipe welders in Salisbury, NC. Backed by more than 40 years of experience and one of the industry’s leading safety performance records, PPM helps clients address the complex challenges inherent in today’s manufacturing and industrial facilities environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Executing pipe welding according to welding procedures, specifications, and quality standards
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints and procedures
  • Measuring, cutting, and fabricating material according to specifications
  • Repairing, installing, and replacing piping or pipe components according to specifications
  • Fabricating and installing piping using brazing, soldering, TIG, MIG, stick, and flux core welding
  • Examining previously installed pipelines and systems for potential defects
  • Preparing welding surfaces by cutting and shaping materials using hand and power tools
  • Communicating with team, customer, and team leaders on project status and needs
  • Operating heavy machinery such as forklifts to move pipes or materials
  • Conducting routine maintenance and cleaning of welding equipment and tools
  • Adhering to all safety requirements, including LOTO, PPE, and other task‑related safety requirements
Qualifications & Experience
  • Ability to use the English language to communicate (both verbally and in writing)
  • Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and hydraulic diagrams
  • Possession of a complete set of tools appropriate for industrial pipe fitting/welding
  • Ability to stoop, bend, and manipulate tools in small spaces
  • Experience working at heights
  • Ability to perform and pass pipe coupon weld tests
  • At least 4 years of pipe welding experience, preferably in an industrial setting
Physical Requirements / Job Site Requirements
  • Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically via Docu Sign
  • May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Must possess enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions identified above
  • Must be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas
  • Must have full range of motion consistent with age
  • Must be able to climb and maintain balance on ladders
  • Must be able to hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms, and other job‑related noises
  • Visual acuity, depth perception, and color discrimination consistent with those required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces
  • Safety steel‑toe shoes are required
