We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for an Electrical Maintenance Technician within our Maintenance team to help support our Flooring Products business. Did you know Leggett & Platt is the largest manufacturer of carpet cushion and hard surface underlayment in the United States? Our Flooring businesses manufacture and distribute foam-, rubber-, and fiber-based flooring underlayment for residential and commercial use.

Our flooring underlayment products provide support, cushioning, and noise reduction under virtually any finished flooring material in your home or business. If you join our team, your work will ensure people across the world have a little more comfort in their lives.

As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you'll play a key role in keeping our manufacturing equipment running safely and efficiently. You'll work with a collaborative, hands‑on team focused on safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.

So, what will you be doing as an Electrical Maintenance Technician?
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical and electronic systems.
  • Install and repair motors, controls, wiring, sensors, relays, and other electrical equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment.
  • Diagnose and replace faulty electrical components.
  • Assist with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs as needed.
  • Support safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
  • Experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
  • Preventive maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to safety and quality.
  • Ability to obtain forklift certification.
Things we consider a plus
  • Technical certification, apprenticeship, or formal electrical training.
  • Experience with PLCs, conveyors, robotics, or automated equipment.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
