Position Summary
Rowan-Cabarrus Community College is seeking a Facilities Services Technician III who will perform skilled maintenance, repair and construction of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and building structures. Responsibilities may include coordinating efforts with contractors; planning for supplies and equipment; installing, maintaining and repairing HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment; constructing walls, buildings, cabinets, bookcases or similar items; operating light equipment and performing preventive maintenance;
and maintaining records of activities.
This position will be primarily on one of our Cabarrus County campuses (South campus in Concord, NC, with some flexibility to assist on our NCRC campus in Kannapolis and our CBTC campus in Concord).
Required Education / Experience- High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.), and five (5) years of experience in facilities maintenance activities.
- Valid NC drivers license
- Certifications relevant to the core job responsibilities.

Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of forces constantly to move objects. Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, fumes, odors, dusts, gases, poor ventilation, chemicals, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, work space restrictions, intense noises and travel.

Flexible starting time between 7:00 and 8:00 AM.
