Forklift Driver - Salisbury

Available Shifts- Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM rotating shift with every other weekend off
- $18.13 per hour based on experience
- Skill-based wage increase after 3 months of employment
- Operate all warehouse equipment required to transfer finished goods and other products, including forklift and clamp truck
- Load and unload trucks efficiently following department standards
- Move and transfer materials and finished goods in a high-volume production environment
- Support WMS functions related to inventory and load management (e.g., Pick list, PGI)
- Check the accuracy of the finished product count, product , order destination, and carrier e loading any vehicle and accurately complete all required paperwork
- All transfer of products and materials must be performed with a high degree of accuracy and accountability and follow the established standard processes and procedures
- Must adhere to all safety standards, Standard Work Instruction Sheet (SWIS), and company policies
- Maintain work area in an organized, safe, and clean manner
- All duties are performed with a focus on safety
- Know the locations of and how to operate emergency stop buttons and fire extinguishers
- Complete the forklift checklist which includes daily inspection of forklifts
- Ability to change the forklift propane tank required
- The job responsibilities in this job description are not all-inclusive; other duties may be assigned as needed
- Minimum of one year recent forklift experience preferred
- Minimum of one year sit-down experience required
- Must be able to work 12-hour shift
- Must obtain and maintain valid Pactiv Forklift and Safety Certifications during employment
- Must have proven experience working in a fast paced Warehouse/Logistics environment
- Prior use of RF barcode reader and vehicle mounted (VMU) computer systems preferred
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
- Push-pull attachment operation a plus
- Basic knowledge of mathematics
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing (English required)
- Must be self-directed and have the ability to work with little supervision
- Will be required to be certified in Lockout/Tag Out and Forklift Operation upon assignment
- Exposed to hot temperatures in summer and cold temperatures in winter
- Potential exposure to dust inside the warehouse
- Potential exposure to machine noise; ear protection is provided but not required
- Ability to maintain single-task focus and situational awareness
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Frequent tasks: sitting, kneeling/crawling/bending, stair climbing, carrying 0–40 lbs. at 5–10 feet, out-reaching, standing, walking
- Occasional tasks: stoop/squat, ladder/step climbing, bending/twisting
- Repetitive use of wrist, hands, fingers, shoulder, elbow, hip, ankles, head, neck
